More information about the pharmacokinetics of this drug may help a breastfeeding mother make an informed decision regarding lactation and concurrent use of intranasal esketamine.

The InfantRisk Center recommends cariprazine be avoided in breastfeeding women if possible. Possible adverse effects in the infants could include extrapyramidal and/or withdrawal symptoms, including agitation, hypertonia, hypotonia, tremor, somnolence, respiratory distress and feeding disorders.
