There are some reports of women breastfeeding while using Modafinil, however, it comes with possible serious side effects for the infant due to its long half-life and relative infant dosage being greater than 5%. Agitation, irritability, poor sleep, poor weight gain, and EKG changes have been reported in infants who were breastfed by mothers using Modafinil. The use of Modafinil should only be used on a case-by-case basis after serious consideration of all options and close supervision of both mother and infants providers.

Hello, I am wondering if there is anymore information on Modafinil and breastfeeding. I have a 4 month old and am considering getting back on 100mg of Modafinil. Wondering if this is safe? Thank youTags: None
