• Topical Winlevi (clascoterone)

What is the evidence regarding topical Winlevi cream for hormonal acne and pregnancy? I am prescribed this for facial acne twice daily. I realize absorption is minimal and thus breastfeeding can proceed, but curious about use during pregnancy.

We do not have any specific data on this one in regard to pregnancy. This is what the drug insert says: (https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2020/213433s000lbl.pdf). It appears that they gave rats injections of the medication vs topical which would be doses much higher than you are receiving topically, and there were not any problems with their offspring.
