Wasn’t sure if this was the correct place to post. But I had a CT scan done in the ER today where they advised me not to breastfeed and to pump and dump for 48 hours. My baby is 10 months old and exclusively breastfeeds with eating solid food. I received an oral solution to drink (non iodine it says) and then they waited 1.5 hours and pushed the contrast dye via IV for the scan. Everything I’m reading says it’s safe to nurse again much sooner than the 48 hours. Thoughts?
