Hi there! Sorry for the delayed response. I did some searching, and I cannot find any decent evidence/research linking the use of Celebrex in early pregnancy to increased fractures in the child. I hope he heals quickly!

Celebrex and pregnancy/side effects to infant

Looking for information regarding any side effects known from Celebrex and pregnancy. My story, in 2004 I was put on Celebrex for RA. Shortly after starting the medication I became pregnant, was not planned but it happened. I stopped Celebrex as soon as I found out--so around 2 to 3 weeks gestation. Fast forward to now; son was injured while doing a fairly minor activity in which he fell from a standing position that resulted in breaking his femur in two. I understand this is a huge anomaly as the femur is the strongest bone in the body; and requires a huge amount of force to break. The doctors that performed his surgery are at a loss of how it broke with such minimal force and are now recommending he see an endocrinologist. Are there any known cases or information regarding side effect of taking Celebrex at the time of conception and for no more than 3 weeks after conception

    Thanks in advance!!
