Hello, I started Emsella treatments 3 weeks ago after my first period came back from giving birth 11 months ago. I am on the Deprovera shot for birth control for 10-11 months now, on time never late. I have an 11 month old i breastfeed before or after treatments on demand, but never during a treatment session. I have had 2 treatments of 28 minutes each on the Emsella Chair. I just had a positive pregnancy test. How dangerous was this treatment for my developing embryo/baby? I plan no further treatments while being pregnant. My poor baby did i just electrocute it? Will it be ok?

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Emsella uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to stimulate pelvic floor muscles. The energy is not electrical current passing through your body or uterus, does not involve radiation, and is localized to pelvic floor musculature (not targeted to the uterus or developing embryo). You did not electrocute your baby and there is no evidence that electromagnetic muscle stimulation causes congenital anomalies. Take a breath! I do not suggest doing this again while you are pregnant.
