Last night i mistakingly took vyvanse and guanfacine instead of my vitamins and realized immeidiatly after. I was able to make myself throw up within 20 minutes. I was exclusivly breastfeeding my 7 week old but have been pumping and dumping since this happened and giv8ng him stored milk. I know that there would still be the risk of some absorbsion but i am lookomg for some advoce on how long i should pump and dump for? I am at about 18 hours right now since it happened. I feel like a horrible person for making this mostake and it is breaking my heart that i cannot comfort my baby when he wants to nurse but i also want to be safe

This was an honest medication mix up that many people experience at some point, and you acted quickly and responsibly. You are not a horrible person, and you have already gone far beyond what is medically necessary to protect your baby. Even if the medications had been fully absorbed (which they were not, since you vomited within 20 minutes), both Vyvanse and guanfacine are considered compatible with breastfeeding at low prescribed doses. There is no requirement to interrupt nursing after a single maternal dose, especially in the context of vomiting shortly after ingestion, which would have limited absorption.
At this point, 18 hours later, drug levels in your body would already be extremely low. Your baby does not require any special monitoring or intervention from this exposure. Take a breath, you're doing great!
