  • Olmesartan for high blood pressure

This week I experienced multiple high blood pressure episodes likely due to excessive heat and dehydration. Doctor prescribed Olmesartan 5 mg. My baby is three months old. Any concerns with continuing this medication or should I switch to a better researched one?

It is always our preference to use drugs with data confirming passive vs active transport, but we expect the transfer to be low for this drug. If you decide to take it, watch your baby for poor feeding and increased drowsiness.
