Thank you very much for responding!
is there any information that you found that may support what you shared? What I have found says is “present” in breastmilk which lead me to think that baby would get somewhat drowsy, couldn’t find like the percentage info.
Thank you in advance!

We have this rated as an L2. The drowsiness concern is a very valid one, however, even though it is likely to make you drowsy, it is unlikely to make your baby drowsy.
We do suggest that you have help with your infant while using this drug since you will be very sleepy and it is not considered safe to fall asleep while feeding. That being said, the amount of medication that your baby will receive through your milk is minimal and unlikely to cause side effects.
There is some excellent data that suggests that untreated depression is worse for an infants brain than an infant exposed to antidepressants. Your baby needs the best version of you

Zurzuvae and breastfeeding
Hello, never taken antidepressants and this one was suggested by my OB, my biggest concern is that the major side effect is drowsiness and I’m concerned that it will affect the baby when I breastfeed. I have been a bit hesitant to take it.
any information about this?
thank youTags: None
