Wellbutrin XL 450 while breastfeeding

Hi AnnW,
We have data on doses up to 300mg, which reflects reasonable levels in milk. In a 9-month-old, I would expect your higher dose to still be OK as your milk volume is decreasing. By 9 months, your baby may even be able to metabolize the drug faster than you! I would be more concerned about a young baby fully breastfeeding. I would also be more cautious if you are taking multiple medications at high doses.

Wellbutrin XL 450 while breastfeeding
Hello, I am currently taking Wellbutrin XL 300 mg while breastfeeding my 9 month old on demand. My doctor wants me to go up to 450 mg. Is this safe for my baby? I could not find any mention in the literature of a dose this high in a breastfeeding mother.
