  • Enterovite supplement breastfeeding

I’m wondering if taking an Enterovite supplement while
breastfeeding would be safe? I have a 4 month old. Also loooking at taking a GI support supplement that has licorice root in it - is that safe or not recommended?

These supplements should be avoided while breastfeeding an infant this small. I recommend looking for a prenatal GI supplement if you need one. Needed has a good one, but there are several brands available that are formulated with breastfeeding in mind. Look for products that are third-party tested. Licorice root can pass through breast milk and potentially cause hypertension, hypokalemia, and disturbances of adrenal hormones, and therefore should probably be avoided during nursing.
