Hello I am an IBCLC in a level 4 NICU. We are wondering if there are any studies on the safely of organic nipple creams? We are wanting to carry some creams for our nursing parents. If no studies on it what are your thoughts on them? Safe? Not safe? What brand would you recommend or recommend staying away from?

Our preference is to apply breast milk to the nipples (after feeding, spread milk around the areola and nipple). If a nipple cream is preferred, look for brands that contain minimal ingredients (and that are organic when possible).
