  • Pregnant, breastfeeding and in need of topical Retinol and AHA

    Hi,
I am 4 months pregnant and still breastfeeding my 14 month old baby.

My skin has gotten really bad, and I was wondering if I could use the following topically :

    a) moisturizer with 0.01 retinol
    b) 5%, 10 % glycolic acid peel to fight melasma
    c) Vitamine C 15%
    d) Niacinamide 10%
    e) moisturizer with hyaluronic acid
    f) Arbutin

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Evelinamada,

Most of these ingredients are probably ok for breastfeeding, but the retinol is not recommended in pregnancy, and the ingredients in the Arbutin cream contain herbal products that we have no data on and are unable to advise on the safety of these herbs in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
