Too Much Celestone?

  • Too Much Celestone?

Hello. I could use some advice.
I am 32 weeks pregnant and have delivered 4 IUGR babies due to preeclampsia. When my BP started to elevate ever so slightly last week (it's usually around 115/65 and it peaked last week at 133/91), my doctor started monitoring me every other day and suggested Celestone in case I deliver early. Last night, I had my first injection. However, my doctor administered the wrong dose, giving me 24 mg in one shot, instead of the recommended 12 mg each for 2 nights. He insists that this will not cause any damage and suggests we do the second round (an additional 12 mg) tonight.
Does anyone have any knowledge about Celestone, to the extent that they could comment on this? If I took a double-dose last night, should I be taking more tonight? This seems excessive but I'm not the expert.
Would be very grateful for any thoughts.
    Julie
