  • Amalgam removal while pregnant.

Hello, I'm going to the dentist tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure they will remove an Amalgam, I'm 22 weeks pregnant, what should I do?, should I postpone it!? Please help!

    Buttercup,

We do recommend to postpone if possible until you deliver. If you are unable to postpone have the Dr use a dam barrier, lots of cold water, high suction and an alternative oxygen source.

Thanks! I will!, the doctor acted to hold top until after delivery, would I be able to get the work done while breastfeeding?

        Buttercup,

It is better to have work done while breastfeeding rather than pregnancy just use precautions in the previous post.
