  • I’m unsure :(

Hi there , I’m currently I believe 10 weeks pregnant and I go to my doctors next week but I did a few small lines of cocaine and I got really worried when I realized I was pregnant and Google has me really nervous . I’m not an addict , I just do it to maintain my wait here and there , it’s not even all the time and it’s a little at a time when I have done it. I don’t know who else to ask without feeling I’ll get in trouble

I understand that you're feeling worried, and I'm really glad you’re reaching out with your concerns. It’s important to know that cocaine is not safe for a developing baby, even in small amounts, because it can affect the baby's growth and increase risks like preterm birth and complications.

Weight gain during pregnancy is necessary for your baby’s healthy development, so restricting weight gain with drugs like cocaine can be harmful. Your OB is there to support you, not judge you, and being open about any drug use will help them provide the best care for both you and your baby. They can offer guidance on how to have a healthy pregnancy and make sure your little one gets all the monitoring they need.

You’re not alone in this, and it’s great that you’re seeing your doctor next week. Wishing you the best with your pregnancy.
