hello, can I use metronidazole while pregnant? For intestinal ameba? If not which one?

    ButterCup,

Metronidazole is rated a P2-benefits likely to exceed the risk. Studies state that when used in proper recommended dosages it does not increase the risk of congenital malformations in the newborn. A normal dose is 250-500mg twice a day. Always check with your OB before taking any medication.
