Youngmom:
Both Cetirizine and Singulair (montelukast) have not been found to increase the risk of birth defects, above the normal risk of 2-3 percent. Thus they are considered compatible with early pregnancy.

What allergy medications are safe to take?
I recently found out that I am pregnant and want to know if the allergy medication I am taking is safe to continue using. I am on Singulair 10mg once daily, and Cetirizine 10 mg once daily. Unfortunately, I am unable to see my doctor in the next few weeks and just want to make sure I am not taking any medication I shouldn't be taking! Thank you for your help.Tags: None
