    Amoxicillin

    I am 7 weeks pregnant and have been fighting a cold since Dec 27th I now have a sinus infection and was prescribed amoxicillin for it. Is this safe ? Is it linked to Cleft lip/plate ?

    "Amoxicillin has been used during pregnancy for many years and does not appear to increase the incidence of congenital malformations." (Medications and Mothers' Milk database, Dr Thomas Hale PhD).
