  • No oxycodone after 33 weeks

I have been off and on oxycodone during 2nd and early 3rd trimester. 5-10 mg oxycodone a day. If i don’t take anymore from 33 weeks on will my baby be safe from withdrawal? I have already stopped medication completely, just hoping it wasn’t too late.

No. Its not too late. We don't know much about the timing of withdrawal, but with many opiates withdrawal starts to occur within hours to a day for sure.

You an baby should be OK.

Thanks for the reply. However , when you were referring to the time of withdrawal, did you mean it in regards to me or the baby? Do you still think it possible for the baby to withdrawal if i haven’t taken Any in the last 7 weeks before delivery?

There is no way your infant would withdraw AFTER 7 weeks of no exposure.
