Is Sunflower lecithin safe to take during pregnancy? I’m pregnant and also breastfeeding and usually take sunflower lecithin to fight clogged ducts.
    thank you!!

    Vicrivers:

I would assume so, but why would you use lecithin during pregnancy when you are not normally breastfeeding.

Besides, there are no research data that I've seen that phosphatylcholene (lecithins) actually work for plugged ducts. Lecithin is largely if not totally digested in the GI tract long before it is absorbed systemically.

Thanks so much for your response. I have a one year old so yes, I am normally breastfeeding.

Sunflower lecithin has worked for me in the past and wanted to take it again but wondered if safe when pregnant.
