    Is nicomide safe while nursing? Baby is 11 months, nurses 1-2 times per day. Otherwise gets milk from the freezer and 3 meals per day.


    1 tablet , twice daily

    Niacinamide 750 mg
    Zinc
    (as Zinc bisglycinate chelate)
    27 mg
    Folate
    (as L-methylfolate* calcium)
    500 mcg
    Copper
    (as cupric oxide)
    2 mg
    Selenium

    chiredhead, thanks for posting,

    We do not know much about this supplement, but all of these vitamins and elements exceed the RDA. I spoke with Dr Hale about this and he said it would probably be ok in your situation since your baby is older and you are only breastfeeding 1-2 times a day. We recommend taking this supplement after you breastfeed so there is a longer break period before you breastfeed again. Monitor the baby for flushing, and GI upset.
