    I am considering using this vitamin for OCD while breastfeeding my 4 - month -old. Any precautions or info. on possible contraindications?

    Inositol does not seem to be overly hazardous, it has been used safely in adults for short periods of time at 12gms a day for 4 weeks, and 6gms a day for 10 weeks without significant adverse effects according to the Natural Standard data base. We do not know how much would transfer into breast milk, but breast milk is already rich in endogenous inositol, but effects of exogenously administered inositol are unknown. I hope this helps.
