• Creatine

Hello! I am at the peak of my post partum fitness journey and would like to incorporate 2-5g of creatine into my daily routine. Is this safe while breastfeeding? My daughter is 10.5months old.

    Hi Erica,

Creatine is an herbal supplement, so we don't have much data available for it. It is a substance naturally found in your body, but this dose would probably give you much higher levels than normal. It may be hard on your (or baby's) kidneys. That's all I can really relay... while it is likely low risk for a healthy infant, it also has limited benefits.

Please refer to our general statement on herbal products: https://www.infantrisk.com/herbal-supplement-policy
