  • Calcium Magnesium Boron increasing Estrogen

    Hi

Could you please ask Dr Hale for me, I am currently using a vaginal estrogen cream ( 50:50 Estriol, Estradiol ) each night. Apparently Boron increases the estrogen blood levels. By interacting with the Estrogen.

if this is true is it still safe for me to take the Calcium, Magnesium, Boron supplement referred to in my below post? Or will this mean that my infant is receiving too much Estrogen?

    Thanks so much.

    NIKITA:

In general, vaginal estrogens are mostly unabsorbed systemically, and only work directly in the vagina. This is our intent in using them there, because the plasma levels are low to minuscule, hence you don't get the systemic problems commonly associated with Estrogens.

There is some literature suggesting that some types of boron compounds may increase oral absorption of estrogen. I've not seen anything about vaginal absorption. Thus I would not suggest you use boron products while using the vaginal estrogens.
