    Is calcium from algae safe to use while breastfeeding? I have osteopenia, am allergic to dairy, and liked this supplement before I was pregnant.

    I asked Dr Hale and said it is probably ok, but no data on these supplements so we cannot say for sure. We do not know the purity of these products, and they are not FDA regulated.
