  • Shoulder Injection

    Hello,

Today I had a steroid injection in my shoulder for a rotator cuff injury. The orthopedic said it would be safe with breastfeeding but I'm writing to confirm safety as well as see if I need to pump and dump. I had 1 injection containing Kenalog and Lidocaine. My baby is 4 weeks old and almost exclusively breastfed. Thank you!!

    Jottenheimer,

We recommend a 12 hour pump and dump for a kenalog injection.
