I was placed on prednisone for a week for UC 30mg a day with Mesalamine 20mg. My infant is 5 weeks old. From previous threads, for prednisone, how long do i need to wait to nurse baby, if at all, do i need to pump and disregard milk after 4-5 hours being its <40mg, before i go ahead and resume nursing? From previous posts, with mesalamine 20mg, as to my understanding is alright to nurse with, simply to monitor baby for side effects of diarrhea, correct. No pump and dump needed? Please advise.
