  • Triamcinolone for hip pain

Hi, i have chronic pain in my right hip and the doctor recommended injecting a steroid called triamcinolone. I like to know if it is compatible with breastfeeding and whether i need to pump and dump. My baby is 11 months old.
I did do a search on the forums and the replies seem to indicate that triamcinolone is fine.

Genikitty; Corticosteroids such as triamcinolone are only a problem after prolonged and repeated us. In addition, steroids don't enter milk readily. So I don't think there is any problem, particularly in an 11 month old infant.
