    crys314,

Azithromycin is rated an L2-limited data-probably compatible. Only 5.9% of your doses transfers into breast milk. Monitor your infant for vomiting, diarrhea, rash and thrush as with any antibiotic.

Methylprednisolone is rated an L2-limited data-probably compatible. The amount that transfers into breast milk is only 0.46-3.15% of your dose. We think this one is also ok at low doses (do not exceed 80mg a day) for short term use. This one may decrease your milk supply while you are taking it.

    Zpack and methylprednisolone

My doctor just diagnosed me with bronchitis and prescribed a z-pack (azithromyacin 250mg tablets 6-pak) and methylprednisolone 4mg dospak 21's. He told me I needed to pump and dump until I'm done with the steroid, but I'm finding conflicting information on this online. Do I need to pump and dump or can I continue to breastfeed my 6 month old?
