brotizolam

A mother of an 8 day old term baby has been prescribed oxazepan 10 mg and brotizolam (bondormine) as a sleep aid.
Is the brotizolam problematic?

Bracha:

Oxazepam and Brontizolam are both benzodiazepines which are derived from the Valium family. We do not have any data on Brontizolam, but I do not think using these drugs postpartum to induce sleep is a good idea at all.

That said, oxazepam penetrates milk poorly ( Relative infant dose = 1%).
