A mother has had this contrast given to her for a kidney procedure. Does she have to stop breastfeeding and if so, for how long?
    thanks!

It depends on the contrast media used. There are dozens of them. Without knowing this I cannot really answer. If it is non-radioactive, then it probably poses little or no risk to the infant. Most of the contrast agents are safe in breastfeeding mothers.
