Rainbow: this is not accurate. CT scans use bound iodine preparations. They release only microscopic levels of free iodine. With this form of contrast agent, you can breastfeed almost immediately. I generally recommend to pump and discard for one or two times after the contrast agent and then return to breastfeeding.
