  • Drotaverine

Hi! Can you please help me to find out is it safe for a nursing mother and the baby. I'm searching for an information about the compatibility of NO SPA (No-Spa) with active ingredient drotaverine hydrochloride with breastfeeding.
    Thank you!

    MariaK:

This product is not available in the US so its difficult for me to find much information. It is rather small in molecular weight and may enter milk to some degree. At this time I cannot advise you that it is safe to use in a breastfeeding mother.

Side effects could include: Porphyria, Dizziness, Vertigo, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Palpitation, Constipation, Insomnia, Dry mouth, Hypotension, Dry mouth, dizziness.

Sorry, I don't know much about this family of drugs.
