    I was contacted by mother who has animal based thyroid hormone medication (Armour thyroid or ErfaThyroid) as normal thyroxin didn't treat well enough her hypothyroidism symptoms.
    Our national database has no information about compatibility with breastfeeding.
    Can you provide mr information is this compatible with Breastfeeding

    If the mother is euthyroid while taking this medication, then it has basically the same risks as synthetic thyroid hormones. Both of these formulations are compatible with breastfeeding when taken as prescribed. Thyroid issues are discussed in more detail here:
