Norco can be taken for short term use with certain recommendations. We recommend to nurse/pump first, take your medicine after then wait 2 hours before nursing again and no more than 30mg for the entire day of Hydrocodone while monitoring baby for sedation. Hope this helps.

Norco - Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325
Hi - I have a 2 week old and exclusively breastfeed. I was prescribed Norco, Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325. I have taken a half a tablet the past 3 days and didn’t consider it until now that it may not be safe for breastfeeding. Can I continue to take this medication or should I discontinue?Tags: None
