    Will this still be the case if I take the estrogen vaginally? That is how it was previously prescribed. Thanks!

    It will probably be ok to continue to breastfeed. Estrogens are poorly absorbed orally in their native form. While the tablet may have an estrogen salt, that's not what might enter milk. Thus even if a bit of estradiol enters milk, your child will not likely absorb any at al.

    IVF while nursing 12 month old


    I am interested in moving forward with a frozen embryo transfer while continuing to nurse my 12 month old son. I would be taking Estradiol 2mg BID x 3 weeks and then QD x 3 weeks. Is this medication and dosing safe for my son to continue to nurse 3-4 times per day (roughly 5-8 minutes at each session)?
