Elizabeth:
This is a question best answered by your physician. At this time, most believe Clomiphene to be the better choice for inducing pregnancy, as the untoward rates are exceedingly low. I just worry about exposing a breastfeeding infant over a prolonged period to this drug unnecessarily.

Clomiphene and GnRH agonists
Dear Professor Hale,
you wrote that "There is some evidence regarding a possible association of clomiphene exposure and fetal malformations, mainly neural tube defects and hypospadias, although these have yet to be confirmed".
Would you therefore prefer GnRH agonists to clomiphene (if it was your child/wife)?
