  • Breastfeeding and IVF drugs

    Dear team,
We would like to ask your kind help understanding the safety of breastfeeding a 17 months toddler while using fertility drugs as part of an IVF treatment.
    The following drugs were prescribed:
    • GONAL F
    • MENOPUR
    • CETROTIDE 0.25 mg
    • CRINON
    • DECAPEPTYL

    Thanks!

    lultul,

These medications should all be ok. They are all rated L3's. They all have a large molecular weight and poor oral bioavailability. The main concern would be a reduction in milk supply which will happen naturally with pregnancy.
