  • Methotrexate for ectopic

I received a shot of methotrexate for an ectopic pregnancy three days ago. My dosage was 50mg/m2 and I'm about 5'5" and 200lbs. My 21 month old son has been extremely upset that he cannot nurse right now. How many days should I wait until I can nurse him again?

    Thanks for your help!

    Classikkid7,

For a one time dose of 50mg/m2 or less we recommend a 24 hour pump and dump.

Just to double check - my weight shouldn't impact this advice right? They had to know my height and weight in order to mix the drug but they confirmed the dosage was 50mg/m2. Just want to double check I won't poison my baby.

      Thanks!
