Hi
My Wife has been given a shot of 50mg of methotrexate once for a week today. We have a 3 months baby how had been breastfeeding until this first shot. The baby is on powder milk for now. The gynae here have different views on breastfeeding while being medically treated with methotrexate. Some say its ok to breastfeed in the first shot (given once a week) others say to avoid breastfeeding.
I like to know is it okay to breastfeed during this condition if yes then how many times a day my wife can breastfeed the baby. If no until what time she should wait to resume breastfeeding again keeping in view shez pumping and dumping now
Kindly reply asap
