  • Statins

    Hello,

I have high cholesterol and due to a heart condition, I am already high risk and my cardiologist would like me to take a statin.

My child is 3.5 years old but not ready to fully wean. My cardiologist and family doctor (who cares for both me and my child) are both comfortable with me taking the medication while continuing to breastfeed, given our specific situation.

I was just looking for reassurance that this would be safe, as my child is older.

    Thank you!
