  • Breastfeeding After Ketorolac Injection

    Hello,
I recently got an IM injection 30 mg of Ketorolac in the ER (even though I mentioned to them I'm currently breastfeeding) and wasn't aware that it's not recommended for breastfeeding. How long do I need to wait for feeding?

No need to hold off nursing! Toradol is acceptable to use (L2).

      Are there any potential risks?

Not with 30 mg IM one time. It is often given in postpartum days for pain every 6 hours without any complications. It is similar to taking a large dose of ibuprofen.
