Imidafenacin and Breastfeeding

Imidafenacin is what we call an antimuscarinic antispasmodic product. It antagonizes muscarinic receptors in the bladder to reduce the frequency of urination in the treatment of overactive bladder. I doubt levels in milk will be high enough to cause problems, but mom should observe infant for urinary retention, constipation, and drying effects in eye and mouth The most common adverse effects observed with imidafenacin are thirst (37.7%), constipation (13.6%), but these are in adults.
I'd urge mom be cautious with the infant while using this drug.

Imidafenacin and Breastfeeding
Dear InfantRisk Center,
A mother receives Imidafenacin (0.1 mg) 1 tab, 2 times a day. Please suggest how to manage breastfeeding for this case. She exclusively breastfeeds her child (a 1-year-old baby). Thank you very much.Tags: None
