  • Cinitapride

I can find no info on use of cinitapride or Pemix while breastfeeding. Doctor wants mom to pump and dump for 2 weeks. Baby is 2 years old.

    Louanne,

We do not have information about this medication in our database as it is not available in the US. I asked Dr Hale and he thinks it would not be too risky, but to monitor the infant for GI upset such as cramps and diarrhea. Signs of overdose include drowsiness, confusion and extrapyramidal effects.
