  • Naturopathic med for hypothyroidism

Hi I have a mom with a baby in NICU who is taking Drenanin 3700 to treat her hypothyroid condition. I cannot find any info anywhere. Any suggestions?
She has also been taking Nattokinase as a blood thinner in pregnancy, again no info but is taking Lovenox now (thankfully).
Thanks for any help with any info on these two meds you may have.

    Dear jenant,

Both Drenanin (adrenal support) and Nattokinase (anticoagulant properties) are herbal supplements. Dr. Hale rates herbal supplements L4. Some of these supplements are safe but some are unsafe during lactation. He suggests consulting an herbal authority before ingesting herbal supplements during both pregnancy and lactation. The Drenanin does not appear to contain any thyroid hormone but does contain several vitamins. Dr. Hale recommends to stay within the RDA(recommended daily allowance) established by the FDA for both vitamins and minerals during breastfeeding. Hope this information is helpful.

    Sincerely,
