    Deena Yael Meerkin,

I spoke with Dr Hale he advised this was probably ok to use in premature infants if they have normal renal and liver functions, but to monitor infants closely since we do not know how much of this product transfers into breast milk. Adverse effects in adults include hepatotoxicity, liver failure, hepatorenal syndrome. A normal adult dose is 250-350mg TID.

    Moringa

I work in an NICU and counsel many mothers of premature infants with low milk supply. I understand that Moringa has been shown to be an effective galactogogue. Is it safe for mothers of extremely low birth birth weight infants to use Moringa and if so at what dose?
