  • Can Domperidone Withdrawal be Avoided?

Hi, I am wondering if domperidone withdrawal can be avoided with 100% certainty, if tapered as recommended, or even slower?

I am 3.5 months postpartum and am planning to take 30mg 3x/day, though my prescription is for 90mg 3x/day. I am hoping it will make the milk ejection reflex more consistent as mine is frequently delayed, compounded by anxiety which unfortunately creates a cycle. Of course, a modest boost in supply would be welcome as well. Do any individuals still experience psychiatric withdrawal symptoms when taking the drug at a lower dose and adhering to a slow taper? I want to air on the side of caution as I have been struggling with PPD/PPA, but if domperidone can help extend the duration of breastfeeding, then I want to give it a try.

Any advice would be very much appreciated! Thank you.
