Jbridgesrn:
Victoza is an injectable peptide (3751 daltons) that stimulates the pancreatic release of insulin. As a small peptide it is rather unlikely to ever enter milk in clinically relevant levels. Further, it simply would not be absorbed orally in a human, but would be rapidly metabolized in the stomach before absorption. I really doubt it would have any effect on a breastfed infant. But at this point, its brand new and we have no data on its use in breastfeeding mothers. But due to its short half-life ( 2 minutes), and its lact of oral absorption, I doubt it will be a problem.
