I have 25mg adderall short acting. I only take them every now and then and I don't take but 1/4 to 1/2 tablet. How long should I pump and dump? I have an 8 week old

    BaileeMae,

Adderall is rated an L3-limited data-probably compatible. The amount transferred into breast milk is 2.46-7.25% of your dose. We think it is probably ok if you keep your dose low about 20mg or less a day, and monitor your infant for a[COLOR=#333333][FONT=lucida grande]gitation, hyperactivity, insomnia, decreased appetite, weight gain, and tremor. Take the medication right after you breastfeed, try to avoid the first 2 hours as this is when it is most concentrated in the milk.

    I hope this helps.
